God’s Work, Our Hands


On November 29th, St. John American Lutheran Church, along with friends and neighbors, will be participating in the 28th Annual Parade of Lights in Downtown Sioux Falls.  The theme for our entry in the parade is                 “GOD LOVES ALL”.  All are invited to walk the parade route together.


SAVE THE DATE:   St. John serves The Banquet Downtown on Monday, December 2nd.  


St. John will be collecting NEW toys (Please do not wrap presents) and NEW warm winter wear and blankets for children and adults who live on the Rosebud Reservation.  Gifts may be left under the Christmas tree in the Fellowship Hall through Sunday, December 1.  Cookies and treats are also being collected for our Christmas party at Rosebud the day of the distribution, Saturday, December 7.  Please leave cookies and treats in the St. John Kitchen by Friday, December 6.   Everyone is encouraged to help by loading up their vehicle with these gifts and make the trip to Rosebud on December 7th.   The more the merrier!


SAVE THE DATE:  Thursday, December 19, 2019,  St. John is scheduled to worship with members of St. Dysmas of South Dakota at the South Dakota State Penitentiary, from 6–8:00 p.m.
